Kesar Mix is considered one of the most prestigious blends in the mukhwas tradition. The preparation involves a meticulous labor-intensive process where high-quality fennel seeds and processed areca nuts are slow-roasted and then glazed with a syrup infused with real saffron (Kesar) and rose water. This gives the mix its signature deep yellow or orange-gold color and a warm, honey-like fragrance that is unique among mouth fresheners.
